Point Men’s Golf Finishes Runner-Up at SSAC Championship; Joseph Claims Individual Title
GREENVILLE, Ala. – The Point University Skyhawks delivered a standout performance at the SSAC Men's Golf Championship, placing second overall while junior Jacob Joseph clinched the individual title out of 63 golfers.
Point tied for second at +24 for the tournament, posting team rounds of +14, +10, and an even-par final round to climb the leaderboard and secure a runner-up position. The Skyhawks closed strongly, pulling away from much of the field on the final day and finishing just behind Dalton State in a tightly contested championship.
Joseph produced a clutch performance across all three rounds, carding a 2-under-par total to earn medalist honors. After opening rounds of +3 and +2, he surged with a brilliant final-round 7-under 65 to force a tie for first, then prevailed in a playoff against UT Southern's Jack Brockie to capture the individual championship.
With the victory, Joseph earned a berth in the 74th Annual NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, scheduled for May 12–15 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
